Don't Be Afraid.

Often times we can become afraid of things that we can't control. Things such as; the future, death, etc... We need to understand something though-God holds the breath of all mankind. He knows the plans He has for us, EVERYTHING! We have nothing to worry about! God has it all taken care of. Our place is to not be afraid of the things that come our way. There will be trials and hard times, but nothing is impossible for those who believe. If your heart desires and seeks God's will and you pursue Him with all that you are, then your plan will be fulfilled for your life. You will lack no good thing. All of your needs will be met.God is Our Father-He takes care of us! I am not afraid. I have moments in my human weakness, where my thoughts go to places of fear, but I just pray in those moments, asking God to give me His strength and plan and will and mind of Christ! He comes in that moment! I need to focus my attention on Him in ALL circumstances! The worst thing that we can imagine is death, but the greatest thing that we could ever imagine is life. If I die, my life does not end, but I will have everlasting life. I have nothing to be afraid of, but disobedience to God! If we do not obey, His blessings are not there. We have natural consequences and in the same way, we have spiritual consequences. Every moment is an opportunity and every day is a gift! Every person has a purpose and to find our purpose we have to seek our Creator-God! :)

A Man Worth Waiting For

This is a great book for any single women out there! I recently bought it at a Lifeway store, close to where I live. It has great advice in it and really helps a lot when considering what a woman should look for in a spouse. She compares Boaz from the Bible to a Bozo of this world. Really the comparison is just perfect! There are many bozo's out there, but we all want a Boaz who will truly love us for who we are and for our character. She shows us the right perspective and how to tell who the bozo's and the Boaz's are! It's just great! I recommend it to any lovely ladies out there waiting and preparing for "Mr. Right" to come along! :) He's out there, you just have to be patient and let God bring that man into your life! It's really a great thing! You will NEVER, EVER, EVER regrett handing God the pen to your love story or life story for that matter! God is so good and He cares GREATLY about the person you are and the person you become and the person you marry and the children you raise to follow after Him with your whole heart! :)

I think all of those lovely ladies out there should read this book! Thanks for stopping by and continue looking for more updates on my life and how I can better help you! Follow my blog through facebook.com. It's really great1 You won't regret it!

A Very Special "Something Old"

Dear Readers,

Since it is getting close to Christmas I want to share with you some things that mean a lot to me and that I love dearly. I will share with you something Old, something new, something used and something blue!

Something old that I love dearly is my grandmother-Helen. We call her "Mema." She is 83 years old and I adore her! She is so great and there is none like her. Now you have to know something about my grandmother to really know what I mean when I say she is great! Here is an example of what I am talking about: Over this Thanksgiving break, I went to go visit my grandmother in Kentucky and I talked with her a lot. She has so many great stories to tell about when she was a little girl and how she and her family got by during and after the Great Depression. She loves to talk to us and she will talk to us for HOURS! She loves to talk about God as well and how much God has done for her and how much she loves Him. God is the center of her world. When I see my grandmother smile, I just see God's light shine right through her. Mema is a very stubborn woman, but a very passionate person. She has learned a lot and she has had lots of experiences, so when I feel down, I like to talk to her because it seems that what she tells me normally works out the way that she said that it would.

I remember one time when we went on vacation with her. Our first vacation with our new adoptive parents was a very memorable week. We went to Missouri, Washington, Virginia and a few other places. It was a wonderful week and the most fun part was exploring and being apart of it all, but I also enjoyed chatting with my Mema! :) She talked to me and helped me learn more about her and how my parents came to the decision of adopting my siblings and I!

So there are so many wonderful things about my grandmother-including how great she fixes her food! It's DELICIOUS!!!! :) But, she is getting old and while she was here on Thanksgiving break, she cried and spoke to me a lot about how her life was coming to an end shortly and how she is going to move in with  my Aunt in about a year or less. Her life is precious and I will miss her dearly when she does go to be with Jesus. I also know that my Mom will miss her too. Just last year my Mom was crying about it.

My grandmother has diabetes and it has caused a lot of things for her. For this and MANY reasons, I will and do treasure every moment I have with my Mema, my precious grandmother who would do anything she could for her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren! She is the most wonderfully old person you could meet and nothing will change the love I have for her! She truly and always has been in great condition for her age though! You would be surprised at what this woman can do! She does pretty much everything! She lives by herself and still takes care of herself and her house. She is JUST now, recently getting to the place where it's becoming even more difficult, but she's a passionate woman, who rarely ever gives up! :) I love my Mema! :)

Sarah's Key

Sarah's key is about a journalist who goes on a hunt to find out about a Jewish girl named Sarah Starynski. The journalist comes to upon this quest by a long list of one coincidence to another. With her search to find the story of this young girl named Sarah, she find's many things that help her out in her own life.

Sarah was a Jew and was brought to a concentration camp for Jews, although it was not in Germany, but France where the Jews were being torchered. Sarah went through many trials through this. She was in search of her brother back in Paris. She was so recklessly abandoned to fight for her life and the lives of those she dearly loved. If you have a love for the Jews-God's children, and/or if you have a desire to stoke your passion for them, then I recommend watching this movie! It's a great movie, although it does have 1 pretty graphic scene where they force the Jews to fall from a building. That's the only scene I believe that is really the most graphic, but over all it is a GREAT movie and I recommend everyone watch it!

This makes me want to go and search for something exciting and to make my life count for God's glory and His purpose! Go and change the world with your life! Just like Sarah's Key guided her back to her brother, so your heart has a key that guides you back to an everlasting Father-who never dies and never grows weak. He is an eternally loving God with an eternally loving heart for YOU! :) This is your key-Jesus!
